Most of us like to keep things clean even if it is not something we do all that often. We as human beings at least want the appearance of a clean environment. In the residential setting, there is not much to keeping things clean past what we were taught as kids or teenagers. Vacuuming floors, dusting shelves, picking up after ourselves and scrubbing dishes is about the extent of our cleaning knowledge. There are certain environments though, where a more extensive cleaning is necessary, and it can’t be done with any old tool.
Static brushes are specially designed and manufactured cleaning tools for environments where static can be a danger to the equipment and even to the employees who are present. In essence, the varieties of static brushes available on the static eliminator market today are able to clean an object while also eliminating the static electricity attached to it. Static electricity, caused by friction build-up between two objects, is not something I worry about in my own home since the only expensive technological equipment I own is an old netbook. However, in areas like office spaces and medical facilities, a build up of electrical discharge can fry a computer or shock a person with various degrees of intensity. Being able to use static brushes to clean and remove the static is doubly beneficial.
Considerations when purchasing a static brush include the length of the brush as well as the material used to create the brush. Expense will vary based on theses types of characteristics. Carbon fiber, stainless steel fiber, conductive nylon fiber and natural substances such as horse hair can all work well to eliminate or neutralize static on an object such as a fax machine or packaging equipment. Handle grips and specific sizes of brush width also vary, and can even be customized so that a customer gets their money’s worth.
